Before the commencement of work for the new year on 1st of January 2020, a brief ceremony was held at the Oil Installation, Kolonnawa with the participation of the staff of CPSTL. Deputy General Manager (HR & Admin) of CPSTL Mr. P D P Dharmawansa hoisted the National Flag followed by singing the National Anthem and two minute silence was observed on remembrance of war heroes. Later the staff of CPSTL took the oath pledging to work, efficiently and productively throughout the year.
Tree planting programme too was held at the Kolonnawa Oil Installation premises on this day with the participation of CPSTL officials in concurrence with the National Tree Planting Programme under the environment policy to increase the forest cover of the country within next five years.
